I lost my ego on vacation,
or I convinced myself I did.
So I'll just hang out on the side,
while the other characters
are keeping up with speaking terms

I lost prescriptions on vacation,
but I know I can get them back.
So you don't have to wait at all,
just tell me when my number's called.
And I will float on through the halls
to make sure everything's installed.
And this is really overplayed
when it is really everyday
The practical just seems to fade,
but recreational will stay.

It's the diet I don't need,
just 'cause this one isn't free.
And I was never really hungry.

I know some people on vacation,
but they don't even need a break.
It's only 'cause the money's there
and their employers are prepared,
so they've gone fishing.

I kept a journal on vacation,
but I got lazy with a pen.
So I will try and just recover
things I think my mind had stuttered.

And I was never really hungry.

I wish that I was on vacation,
but I know that I won't get paid.
But I don't mind the overtime
if it means an early goodbye.

I'm fucking hating this vacation.
I paid some money to stay home
So is it over,
I'm still sober.
